Well, we added onto the chicken coup! Here's our new (and clean for the moment) coup.
This is where they lay their eggs
This is where the pullets go, after they leave the brooder.
This is the breeder pen, where we put pure breeds together for hatching our own chicks.

Wow! Everything looks amazing! Did it take you guys very long to build? How many chickens and roosters do you have?
ReplyDeleteThanks Pauline. We have 20 hens and 3 roosters. We also have guineas and are raising some new chicks and keets to rotate some of our older hens out. We have learned it is not beneficial financially or time-wise to have more than this. We typically raise just enough for our family and to bless others with. We do sell eggs, soap, honey, etc at times, but keep it low-key. It's not worth the headache most of the time. Come by and see us sometime!
